Trois Pistoles info centre trail. The centre also had a great virtual reality exhibit. You travelled around as if you were under a drone. When it brought you up a few hundred feet, it was truly scary.

Rimouski harbour
We took a boat over to Ile St-Barnabe for a 2 hour hike.
The rock formations were incredible. It looked like shale turned 90 degrees to the vertical.
We started the trail on the north side of the island.
Due to the climate on that side, all the trees were covered with lichen.
The return trip was on the south side - no trail, just the beach.
This is the landing dock for our boat.
On the return boat trip, we saw these cormorants on the harbour rocks
Back in Rimouski, we visited the Point-au-Père historic site.
With a group of 15, I climbed up the stairs to the top of the lighthouse.
This is the mechanism that made the lighthouse beam rotate. It consisted of a heavy weight on a wire that slowly descended to turn a gear that rotated the beam above. After 6 hours, it reached bottom and the lighthouse keeper would have to wind it back up.
This is the reflector inside the lighthouse. This lighthouse, as well as all the others in Canada, are no longer active due to the use of GPS navigation.

Point-au-Père rocks
This submarine, which you could tour, was also located at Point-au-Père.
